While we’re well past the era where I’d just as soon turn my nose up at some piece of mega-gnar skating, dismissing it as lowbrow gloryhounding, I was still kind of surprised how much this titanic Dan Murphy ollie shocked me. Footage here (via Platinum Seagulls); the switch frontside flip and nollie flip are monstrous in their own ways.

This is definitely impressive. It’s strange that Murphy doesn’t get more coverage, or maybe I’m just missing it all. Thanks for bringing my attention to it.

What a charger. The greatest part was the sound- just raw skating.

durphy’s always been amazing and much like brother paul up there, i’ve always wondered why he doesn’t get more coverage. that nollie flip was cot-dang’d ridiculous.

Yeah that was all gnarly. The fS flip was so clean. But I really like the opener where he scooped up his board and hopped that fence. He did it all in one smooth move and made it look fun. I dig that kind of stuff more than the actual skating sometimes.

Wow, I actually still like that kind of stuff. A lot.
